CFAS Monthly General Meeting Minutes

October 12, 2005


Attendees: 17 members


Guests: approximately 5 guests.


  1. Vice-President's Call to order. Welcoming remarks.

    Meeting was called to order at 7:04pm


  1. David read the opening remarks from outgoing president Ray Jones.


  1. David then requested information from the committee members in attendance at the meeting.


  1. David then called for the CFAS board elections.

    After a quorum was verified (17 members), Fransisco Gonzalez presented the election slate to the membership:

  • President: Walt Hamler

  • Vice President: Ray Jones

  • Treasurer: Alan Hoffberg

  • Secretary: Paul Kronenwetter

  • BMAL: David Furrow


    Fransisco asked for nominations from the floor. There were none.


    Fransisco asked for a motion to accept the slate and elect these individuals for these positions. Larry Lurie made the motion & Frank Sperl seconded. The motion passed unanimously.


  1. The meeting continued with Derek Demeter's presentation of Pseudoscience vs. Science.


  1. Walt Hamler then presented Frank Sperl with a certificate of appreciation from CFAS for his years of service.


  1. The meeting concluded at approximately 8:30pm.
