Monthly Observing Plans
Introduction
Each month a new set of plans will be created and made available on the CFAS web site. Each set of plans has a list of 60 to 75 objects that are visible with at least an 8" telescope from our dark sky sites. The plans include both an Excel spreadsheet and a PDF file that lists the objects, as well as a set of sky charts for those objects. If you have Excel, you can use the spreadsheet to sort the objects any way you desire. If Excel is not available to you, you can simply print out the PDF list and take it with you to your viewing session. The PDF file contains the list of objects sorted by Constellation, then R.A and then Dec.
The first set of plans-for January 2006-are now available below. The Observing Committee looks forward to any suggestions and / or comments you have about the plans. The intention is to get us all out using our telescopes, and hopefully this will help. Thanks to all who have helped put these plans together, and PLEASE let us know what we can do to make them better!
